A converted warehouse on Sidney Street became one of the most prominent clubs in the bassline scene.
Former Niche resident DJ Jamie Duggan has been busy getting the gang back together for an event but the venue has always previously been listed as "tbc."
Organisers have this week confirmed a massive DJ lineup with online posts now listing The Magna Science Adventure Centre as the venue for the event on November 1.
Set in the former steelworks at Templeborough, millions of pounds has been spent by the charity that runs the centre on unique events space. It has welcomed thousands of music lovers over the years, hosting the likes of Pulp and The Reytons and returning events such as BassFest and FearFest.
The event promises all of the favourite artists that represent the Niche sound from the last 30 years, all together at one event.
A post on social media said: "As promised, our biggest line up EVER will run across 3 huge stages, the likes of which you’ve never seen Niche on before! Production that will blow you away, as well as taking you back to the good old Sidney Street intimate days, with a bone shaking sound system, designated skankin corners, low ceiling feeling! Reliving all those classics amd anthems like you’ve never heard them before!"
Niche was a small club that packed such a massive punch on a global scale. Its place in people's hearts proven by over 3,000 tickets being sold for the 30th anniversary before the lineup was confirmed.
Jamie Duggan explains: "A nightclub like no other, one that needed to be seen to be believed! If you witnessed it, if you raved with us it means you found your love for underground House, Speed Garage & Bassline. You found like minded ravers that loved that sound just as much as you did.. through till 12am on a Sunday afternoon!! Made countless timeless memories. You found your place, you found your NICHE."
