A new independent live music festival is set to highlight local talent in Rotherham in the summer of 2026.
There was a big demand fot tickets when they recently went on sale, and that's without organisers announcing the headline acts!
Upper Whiston Farm is the venue for the festival which promises over 13 hours of live music on June 26 & 27, 2026.
So far a carefully curated lineup of genuine musical talent has been created featuring independent artists and labels. Sheffield’s Matilda Shakes and local groups, The Denabys and The Tivolis are playing on home turf with other acts coming here from around the UK, including Essex's Pet Needs and Manchester's Spangled.
A post on social media said: "Get ready for two days of incredible music, camping, great food and amazing company. This is our first festival and as such, we want to make it memorable, you'll be up close and personal with all the bands as the capacity is restricted to just 1,250 people, so don't hang about, get your ticket before they're all gone!"
The line up announced so far:
- Freight
- Pet Needs
- Cruz
- The Publics
- The Denabys
- The Tivolis
- Taylor Liam Jackson
- Nothing Rhymes with Orange
- RIVIA
- Matilda Shakes
- Hot Fuzz
Organisers were no doubt influenced by the success of the The Reytons’ sell-out homecoming gig in Rotherham at Clifton Park in 2024. Reyt Fest adds to other popular live music events in the borough such as WentFest and FarmFest.
