Getting to Rotherham

Rotherham is well-connected, sitting at the heart of the UK in South Yorkshire. It has links to the great city of Sheffield and is just off the M1 motorway.

By Car

From the North or South (M1): Exit at Junction 33 (via the A630 Sheffield Parkway / Rotherham Gateway) or Junction 34 (Meadowhall).

From the East or West (M18 / A1(M)): The M18 runs along the eastern side of Rotherham. Exit at Junction 1 (Bramley/A631).

By Train

Rotherham Central Station: Located right in the town centre. Direct Northern Railway and TransPennine Express services connect Rotherham to Sheffield (12 minutes), Doncaster (20 minutes), and Leeds (approx. 45–50 minutes).

Intercity Transfers: If travelling long-distance from London St Pancras or Manchester, take a direct train to Sheffield or Doncaster and make a quick 12–20 minute connection to Rotherham Central.

By Tram-Train

The innovative Supertram system connects Rotherham Central and Parkgate directly to Sheffield city centre via Meadowhall.

By Bus

Rotherham Interchange (adjacent to the train station) is the main hub. Local services run frequently between Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, and surrounding areas.

By Air

Manchester Airport (MAN) is about 1 hour 15 minutes by car, or around 1.5 hours by train via Sheffield. Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) is approximately 1 hour by car.
