It's not just love that is in the air in Rotherham! The Magna Science Adventure Centre is hosting an exciting adventure into the world of homemade rockets with workshops and craft sessions where you can learn about air-powered rockets, fizz-powered rockets and fuel-powered rockets. Plus Magna's flight instructor will be on standby to provide a quick introduction to the centre's state-of-the-art flight simulator.

Opening for the half term week families can discover rides, attractions and themed accommodation in one fantastic resort. The Rotherham theme park has announced an Early Season Special, with tickets just £17 per person until March 8, when you book at least two days in advance.

Reframing Wentworth Woodhouse
The Grade I listed mansion in Rotherham has two exhibitions over the week. Jennifer Vanderpool’s ongoing project, Untold Stories, investigates the loss of heavy industry in Rotherham and Sheffield whilst REFRAME Rotherham sets out to transform young people into visionaries.

The Rotherham literacy charity has a host of events at its town centre base including a workshop where you can Decorate a Fairy Door. Wand Making, Potion Making, Baking Up A Story, The Cursed Organ, they've got it all! Also taking place are afternoon teas, heritage workshops and book clubs.

Live Music in Rotherham
There is plenty of live music taking place in Rotherham this half term. In a busy week at the Civic Theatre, you can catch the Bon Jovi Experience, Vincent Simone - Tango Passions, Women In Rock and The Sounds of Rod Stewart. At the Empire Theatre there's an East 17 Valentine's Special and at Wentworth Woodhouse there is a Simply Strings Candlelit Concert. Out at Parkgate, the Chantry Brewery Tap is hosting OMD Experience and The Skapones.

Heart of the action
Take in a tasty South Yorkshire derby as Rotherham United go against Doncaster Rovers in League One at the AESSEAL New York Stadium. It is a lunchtime kick off on Saturday February 21.
