New Mediterranean restaurant opens in Rotherham

A new Mediterranean restaurant has opened, bringing fresh seafood, quality meats, and vibrant flavours to a Rotherham village.

The Copper Fish opened in Kiveton Park recently with a menu featuring coastal classics and modern favourites and a desire to create a unique experience.

Being family-run, the restuarant aims to be a "place where the Mediterranean spirit comes alive through great food, beautiful cocktails, warm hospitality, and moments shared around the table."

Starters include bruschetta and arancini, while mains include gyros skewers, mussels, risotto and pasta dishes. Desserts include baklava and panna cotta and there's a kid's menu too.

At present, the opening hours are Thursday 4:30-10pm, Friday 4:30-10pm and Saturday 12-10pm.

The team has also launched Bottomless Brunch events based around the restaurant's cocktails and sharing plates.

Posts on social media explain: "We are a proudly family run Mediterranean restaurant, created from the ground up with love, passion, and a real dedication to honest, homemade food.

"At the heart of it all is our chef owner. Not a chef brought in for profit, but someone whose cooking is a true reflection of years spent perfecting his craft.

"Family is at the centre of everything we do. You will find one of us in the kitchen, one front of house, and our son out on the floor, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels personal from the moment you walk in.

"Our menu is Mediterranean inspired, with everything prepared fresh in house. For that reason, we open three days a week, allowing the time and care needed to create dishes that are truly worth sitting down for. For us, it has always been about quality over quantity."
