The special weekend in support of the hospice takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20.
Standard entry to the theme park in Rotherham over that weekend costs just £17 per person, with £2.50 of each ticket sold donated to Bluebell Wood.
The hospice at North Anston in Rtherham, opened in 2008 and cares for babies, children and young people from across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire, whose lives are sadly just too short, both in their own homes and at the hospice. All services are completely free to families who are referred to Bluebell Wood.
It costs almost £6.4m each year to keep the hospice running, with around just 16 percent of funding coming from government and the remaining 84 percent generated by fundraising.
Phil Bracegirdle, resort manager at Gulliver’s Valley, said: “We have been supporting Bluebell Wood through a variety of initiatives since we opened our doors for the first time in 2020. The work everyone at the hospice does is both incredible and humbling and we are proud to help them once more with this month’s charity weekend.”
Visitors to the theme park will find more than 50 fantastic rides, attractions, shows and activities.
Among the resort’s most popular rides are Apache Falls and Ghostly Galleon pirate ship, a mini-zoo, Lost Jurassic World area, which includes animatronic dinosaurs and the Gulliver’s Gears area - which boasts two recent additions, Turbo Tower and Crazy Planes, as well as the Grand Prix Racers rollercoaster and a range of classic cars.
